claudioxcore's "$3,000 in two months" Goal.
I just put this in my blog actually,
My goal is to make $3,000 by October. So I can move the fuck out. I'll update this on my progression. I gave up on the platinum star idea just cause it's damn near impossible at my stakes. It's 50 hours a week of playing your max volume. Plus now that I'm focusing most of my attention on MTT's and DoN's, the rake is a lot less and it's killer to do platinum. I'll update this from time to time on my progress.

Ah, the joys of not living in NY where $3k might cover 3 months if you're lucky

Hahaha, yeah, New York is pricey as shit.
I have some family that lives in Brooklyn. It seems near impossible without making at least 100k a year.

And I'd live at home as long as you can and create a nice cushion for yourself first! Of course meeting girls and bringing them home might be out of the question... But hell...you're not even 21 yet! Live free!!!

It would be a lot easier to stay home if my parent's weren't livid at the fact I decided to play poker for a living. Hahaha. They charge me $150 rent as it is. If I had a job they said they wouldn't charge me...

GL Claudio, I truly mean it. And what follows is not a slight in any way, but I feel like someone has to be voice of reason in this thread.
It is straight up insane and LOL-crazy to think that you are going to be "playing poker for a living" at the stakes you play. I'd say the minimum requirements before one should go "pro" is 6-12 months of living expenses saved up, not part of your bankroll. I think you'd need 2-3 years of play to establish your actual ROI/hourly rate. You need to be earning probably 1.5-2X your monthly expenses in poker (this includes everything, rent, insurance-health, car, renters, etc, ALL bills (and if you haven't on your own before you'll be surprised at all the fucking bills), all expenses). Your bankroll has to be able to survive a several month downswing. Playing poker as your only source of income and depending upon that income to live is fucking stressful and hard. Why do you think most (all?) pros invest most of their winnings in real estate, market, etc? Stay at home to save money, get a job, and play poker on the side. |
