Test Your Poker
A while back someone posted a free TestYourPoker exam where you got to play hands and got a poker IQ.
I recently got an email from them talking about their new tests available etc. They also had a 1 month trial period of their site for 4.95 available until Nov 23rd. It says only available through this email so Im not gunna post the promo code required to get the 4.95 deal here but Im sure you can get it if you want it *cough PM*. Probably going to cancel after the first month, but for the $5 I didn't mind to take all the exams etc. The first one I took was the 6 max Cash One.... pretty cool. YOUR 6-Max NL PokerIQScore™ IS 135! Congratulations! You performed better than 96.71% of the players that have taken the test so far. They also broke the exam down in the follow more specific categories. Your Pre-flop PokerIQScore™ is 129 Your Flop PokerIQScore™ is 111 Your Turn PokerIQScore™ is 152 Your River PokerIQScore™ is 137 Your Bet Size PokerIQScore™ is 127 Your Level of Aggression is Slightly Less Aggressive than Average Your Ability to Adjust to Opponents PokerIQScore™ is 140 Your Pot Odds PokerIQScore™ is 124 Your Respecting Previous Action PokerIQScore™ is 119 Your Strategic PokerIQScore™ is 126 Your Positional PokerIQScore™ is 115 Your Bluffing PokerIQScore™ is 160 Edit: It says not to cut and paste anything from the document, so I edited it down a little to just post my scores so there's no trouble Some interesting notes. My bluffing score was a whopping 160, but I didn't really bluff much. I 3 barrelled on the river when I cbet a SD bet the turn when I picked up a FD as well and missed the river, and i bluff raised a loose player who raised preflop on the flop... but outside of that I CBet normally (not against 3 opponents ever) and that's about it. My turn play was the second highest, probably bc I played pot control on non draw heavy boards with TPTK or overpairs allowing me to get bluffed into no the river or save money when opponent flopped a set. My flop and positional score are the two lowest. Positional Im sure is because I opened suited connectors UTG a few times (and once completed the SB in multiway pots with a marginal holding 85o with 2 others in)... flop Im not really sure though.... maybe because they wanted me to CBet a little more (or less?) or maybe bc I called a raise with small/middle piars and folded when I missed the flop on semi scray boards (ie i have 66 and call flop comes 2 Q J with 2 hearts I fold to CBet) but im not sure. You can see how "a pro" would have played it, Im gunna check that out now and take a few of the other tests.... kinda cool so far. Edit: Just checked it out. I actually played 40 out of 50 or so of the hands exactly the same, and another like 4-5 essentially the same....

Interesting. Keep us posted.
About the promo, I suspect they would be willing to offer it to everyone who has taken a test from them before, but I'm not sure... |
