Default Apology

Hello.
I have to apologize to all of you.
Well.. I suppose I don't "have" to...... But I want to.

I am the "leaker".
I leaked the password to RecPoker to wreck the freeroll.
Why?
I don't know... It seemed like a good idea at the time...
I'd like to give you all a good reason....
But I can't... I don't have a good reason.
It was just an all around "bad" thing to do.

Very shortly after posting the Freeroll information:
TalkingPoker $100 Freeroll

Password is : tpffree

Good Luck Everyone!

I realized that this was pretty stupid...
Unfortunately, when I tried to delete the post, I couldn't figure out how.
I couldn't even edit it....

"crap" I thought....
I then took the coward's way out, and tried to pretend I had no idea about it....
As TP said.... It wasn't until I saw the posts that I sent TP $125 and admitted to it...

Now keep in mind.... This money is NOT for him... it is for all of you...
The posters and members of this forum...
I may have caused TP a ton of BS over this, but all of you were the ones that really got screwed over...
That is why I sent him $125...
To fund a new freeroll (or whatever) for you guys.

I wish I could say I did it for 'such and such' a reason... But I didn't really have a reason...
Obviously, It was stupid, but It's done.
I'd change it if I could, but I can't.

I apologize to all of you, and especially TP for wrecking the freeroll and probably losing his trust...
Anyways, Maybe TP could come up with a new contest for December...
Perhaps the person who comes up with the best punishment gets the money?

I hope you can find it inside yourself to forgive me everyone.
If you can't, I understand.

James.

So you leaked the password "to wreck the freeroll,"

and that

"seemed like a good idea at the time."

I'd like to know what made "wrecking the freeroll" a "good idea" at any time?

I guess I just don't get it, unless you just have a personality trait that makes you enjoy fucking things up for people and watching from a distance.

Realize, I'm not angry or trying to be condescending here. I'm not really mad, cause truthfully, I expected the freeroll to have a bunch of crashers from day 1.

I feel bad mostly for TP, for putting all the work in, having to police the forum and be a general "dick" to the noobs(justifiably so), and having to put up with all the crap in his PM box.

Default Funny Thing

you know what I just thought of....

you used to be a moderator here voted in by majority of the forum. Did you get anything out of this at all? What was the purpose of it? I mean I guess im with everyone else here and just dont get it at all.

I know you said you had no reason to do it, like shabi said the only reason most of us see is to wreck the freeroll for all. I mean were you sitting back laughing when all this was going on?

Wuat he sayed [I am stunned spellingless ]
I expected this to get crashed as well, but when the password got out I had to assume that it had been guessed and spread around after that.

I was stunned to see that you were the one who leaked it. sad

Chip's been a long standing member of the forum, and I would also have never guessed it to be him.

From my perspective, I'm certainly not mad. However, it's fair to say I'm puzzled. It does take some measure of responsibility to own up and apologize. Still, I guess it's odd that you chose to do it. I can't fathom the motivations, especially since the freeroll prizepool wasn't big at all.

I had a friend/blogger ask me about playing in it and I told him he was ineligible. He of course understood.

I'm sorry that this happened, Chip; and I'm sorry for TP too because I'm thinking he feels a bit let down.

Well its done and Chipfish has put his hand up and gave TP back his stake money, we can learn from this how easy it was for non forum members too wreck our tourny and the lack of support from the PS people.

Chipfish has made some good posts here in the past and hopefully will make some more.

Its time to move on and look forward. When TP wins the WSOP this site will become one of the biggest poker forums on the net and it would be nice to be known as a respected member, so in future think before we do anything stupid.

I dn what to say, how does someone who has been around so long, with almost 2,000 posts suddenly decide to do this? Esp. after TP set it all up and had enough trust in u to send u the Password early - i just dont get it.

Thanks for posting the apology/explanation, Chip. I didn't think you were going to.

As I said in the PM to you, I forgive you, but I still don't understand, nor do I think I ever will.

I know you said it wasn't anything personal against me, but I can't help but still think that must be it. Cause there's really no other REASONABLE explanation that I can think of.

Next time I'm in Toronto, we'll have to drink our problems away at a bar or two.... after I bitch slap you silly for all this nonsense, that is!
