Was I Wrong?
Last Sunday night at Mohegan, I was playing a SNG. We were down to 6 and I was getting short with A5s in the BB. One limper, folded to SB (seems like a reasonably skilled regular) who is mulling over his hand.
I look back at the limper to see how he's reacting the SB's action so I'm not looking at the SB, when I hear the dealer (I'm in the 10 so he's on my immediate left) say "option." I say "All-in" SB says "Nice, but I still have to act." He then shoves and I fold. I look at the dealer (a floorman who said he was dealing because he hadn't in a while and had to teach a class the next day) and say "why did you say 'option' when he hadn't folded?" Dealer says - "he has an option, too, call, raise or fold." I reply, "on what planet do you say 'option' to anybody but the Big Blind?" Dealer later says he's sorry if he confused me, but it didn't sound like he thought he did anything wrong. Am I wrong?
