Badbeat jackpot
Should be 250k in just a few minutes. Tables are hopping, and I am hoping!

Well, I haven't won yet ...
but I'm definitely making money at the tables while trying. It's up to 315, and the play is plenty soft. Just wish I had more time to hit the tables!

Last I was on, it was 340k+. Had a good time playing the 2/4 table there today. Actually, the most fun I've had playing limit in a while. Made money and got to see flops with some drawing hands because there was 8 to 9 players in every hand to see a flop on some of my tables.
I was playing 4 tables at once. Lots of different types of tables too. Some were tight, others were as I described above. It would be tough to not profit playing these tables. |

I was getting just raped by rivers on the 2/4 bad beat...
Then I hit quad aces.... Unfortunately no jackpot... but yay me. 2 raisers with me so at least I got a bit of a mini-jackpot

How much more is the rake on these tables when compared to the regular ones? I haven't tried these guys out yet.

Extra 50 cents
Which adds up when playing 2/4, but the play has been so wild it has made up for it. I've been doing some hit and run with some success at the 5/10 as well, which is fun, but I don't really have the roll to be risking it.

Almost to $340k now. Time to fire up a few tables, I guess (and while hitting a piece of the jackpot would be great, I'm not playing for that - I'm here for the fishies).

TP
how much different do you find the level of play on the jackpot tables to be? is it significantly worse than the regular shorthanded games that you play, or is it the same level of party ineptitude that abounds? just curious, as i generally despise paying anything towards a jackpot, as too much of it invariably ends up in the house's pocket, but in this case it might be worth it. |

It's hard to say. Most of my experience on Party has been at the short seated tables, and the BBJ tables are full ring... I also haven't played the BBJ THAT much... but so far, the play seems pretty poor.

My take
I play the regular 2/4 and BB 2/4 on Party pretty regularly. I definitely find the BB 2/4 tables more profitable despite the extra rake, especially as the jackpot gets higher. My assumption is people will play any suited connector or low pair from any position pre-flop, and once they've called, don't want to fold to a pre-flop raise.
