Self-flagellation
Dear 2Tone,
How to put this? You are playing like shit. Most importantly, you are playing too many hands. Since the low-limit/high rake games you are playing in populated by either loose-agrro maniacs or relentless calling stations, you are justifying playing marginal hands, hoping to get paid off if you hit. But limping in early position with what should be easy folds like Q9off, then calling the inevitable raise is a recipe for disaster. What makes this worse is when you catch a piece of the flop or a draw, and then find yourself calling an assload of bets on the flop and turn, before mucking to action on the river and shaking your head in disgust. And flush draws? Yeah, we they only get there 1 out of 11 times, don’t they? So hoping for runner/runner clubs isn’t that wise a strategy, now is it? Newsflash: The way to beat donkeys is not by imitating them. Tighten up, and value bet when your premium hands connect. If you don’t have the patience to fold when you should, go do something else. I hereby sentence you to stay out of the cardroom for two weeks, and when do come back, to play better. Love – Your bankroll
