WSOP entry in exchange for 120k hands
You guys see this one?
TruePoker will buy this guy an entry into the WSOP if he can clear 120k hands before 6/30. He has a full-time job, which makes it very difficult. Interesting promotion though, and I'll be curious if he makes it. |

I was reading that earlier... I think its interesting to say the least.
I think someone who plays alot could def. do it. |

Does his full time job pay $5000+ a month? If not take two months off (or 1/2 time or something). Poker is the most important thing in life, right?
Thats approx. 44 hours a week (his guess with 8 tables open). Wow |

if he has a friend or someone he trusts he could always have them play some hands for him on his account then split the WSOP winnings with him (if he cashs) and/or give him half of what he wins when he plays at truepoker.

I'm sure they log his IP address.

I'm sure the person he trusts could use his computer.
I haven't read the article yet, but if he's allowed to play any stakes, fire up 8 of the cheapest tables they have, and fold everything but AA, KK, QQ, and AKs. You could teach an semi-intelligent monkey to do that. |

I dont think truepoker will care who plays the hands because...
1. He figured that they will make about 8K in rake from this. 2. if he does well at WSOP or even gets TV time will get truepoker coverage. 3. More people will try this and will fail to get the hands. example: Lets say I try it and only get 100K hands... I get nothing and truepoker gets like 4K. Just a few reasons. |

He's going to make it!
This is incredible. I'm tired after having grinded through 700 raked hands in three days to clear the latest Party bonus. To play this number of hands this quickly and still come out ahead is quite an accomplishment. Hope he enjoys the WSOP. He’s earned it. |

That is awesome. Props to him for coming up with the idea, selling it, and now making it happen.
The $500 he's won is just bonus money. It's the $10k he's about to be handed that's going to make this all worthwhile. I'm going to look for this guy at the WSOP and say hello... Last edited by Talking Poker; 06-06-05 at 09:56 PM. |

Hi Everyone.
I was contacted by the Talking Poker guy that you all were following my progress at twoplustwo. I appreciate the interest and have been surprised by all the attention this has been receiving. I thought I would just post to say hi and thanks. Naturally, I will still be doing my full updates at twoplustwo, but if you all have any questions of me, I will attempt to respond to them. One point that came up in this thread I would like to clear up. I have played every single one of these hands at TruePoker. I never considered what was suggested here. (Allowing someone else to play for me) I'm an "old school" type of guy and I would have definitely felt that I would not have been living up to my end of the bargain if I had allowed someone to play for me. Once again, thanks and I appreciate the interest! |
