Beat Down: an exercise for the tinfoil hat crew
TOURNAMENT EDITION:
I this would be good for everyones state of mind. We all get a little titly when we get sucked out on, especially if we have gotten into any depth of a tournament. But we often forget the all of the shitass luck that has helped to get us there. It might not be a major suck out on a pair over pair all-in preflop, but it might be that 44 that missed the flop, but hit the set on the turn, crushing the slow played aces. It might be the random marginal shit that we play in the BB that sees a free flop and hits the flop hard or gets so many outs you hang around when you shouldn't and manage to win. I'd love to see people spend a week posting the "holy crap, I sooooo didn't deserve to win that hand" hands. I suggest this because I think we have a tendency to forget our luck, and stew over the luck of the enemy. THAT'S a good formula for tilting.

I'm on board. Problem for me is I don't forget the good hands, it's just that the horrid beats usually come at the worst possible time (money bubble, final table bubble, big pay jump, etc...)
Soon as I get it in bad and suck out I will post it here.

Keep in mind to examine any winning hand. Especially if they show down. I imagine many of the hands people will find will be where the critical "luck" happened before the river, and often without getting it ALL in.
These may also include the "bullet dodged" sort of things.

Now here is a part I fully agree with. Many times I feel I got lucky simply because I didn't get unlucky.

Getting to a point where if I can get one more round of blinds I can fold to a seat. The table has been pretty tight with the big stacks folding to a seat, then this:
