Adjustments
I've been running bad for about 3 weeks now in cash games. I am still healthy, but with money split between two sites I am on the verge of having to drop down from 25 max to 10 max.
My question to people here today is, are there any adjustments you make to your approach when you are running bad for a longer than normal period? I am going to do an analysis of my PT numbers, and I am also going to stop multitabling for a while so I can really focus on what is happening.

I usually take some time off... or at the very least, mix things up playing different games for while (HU SNGs, Triple Draw, whatever).

I absolutely agree with playing something different.
A good while back I was running real real bad. I played O8 for awhile, came back and the doom switch had been lifted. About 10 days ago I was ready to quit. I played lhe for a couple days, started out hot, then went cold. Came back and had 2 pretty good days (for me anyway). It sounds silly, but just try it. Play something else for a couple days, maybe a week. Even if its micro limit stuff. It will sharpen your overall game, refresh you a bit, give you some perspecitive.........and of course reset the doomswitch!!!! GL |

That's great advice. If for no other reason, to help remember that poker is supposed to be fun.
So, I put it into preactice right away. I went out 3rd in a PL 5CD sng, which was sad since I would have monied in 4 different games at the same time. Just for the hell of it, I 4 tabled micro SNG's on two sites. PL 5CD -3rd Stud Hi -2nd 6 handed turbo NLHE -1st PLO High -2nd. They were just one table tournaments, but it was a good way to kick myself in the head and stop fretting about my BR. Godd times, Good times.
