Ummm. I don't get it. Mainevent in the WCOOP is 10000 chips 25/50 blinds to start and 30 minute levels.
The first No limit holdem event (Event #2) has 2500 chips to start, and 10/20 blinds to start also with 30 minute levels. Where exactly are you coming up with 50BBs to start? Maybe I'm missing something?

EDIT: oh crap, they must have listened to the bitching. Looks like im in for at least event 2. 2nd EDIT: I really like the new ante structure as well. Stealy stealy...

Damn... that sounds great to me. Long tourney, but for a once a year Main Event, it should be.

I'm fairly certain your average hourly rate would be higher just playing 10/20 and 5/10 NL than to play all but the main event, and that is probably even a little high even for your bankroll. If you were to play, you would probably have to sattellite into which would most definately decrease it below your hourly rate of just playing cash games.

I don't think it's fair to compare one's hourly rate from cash games to tourneys. MOST of the time in tourneys, you end up logging a losing session... but those very few times you go deep have a way of significantly changing your totals.

I'm pretty sure they listened to player requests and changed at least one of the badly-structured ones.

I would play... if you can go on a magical run, your talking about life changing money that you can win.
Of course you already have 100K so I guess its not a big deal for you. |

I'l likely play in a couple of events. I'll be at the Borgata when it starts, so the first even I might play in won't be until halfway through the WCOOP. The only way I'll play in the Main Event is if I score big at the Borgata. The small events are reasonable buy ins though.
Is it really only 50 BB to start? That's freaking weak, unless the blinds move up crazy slow. |
