good news for online poker
Basically just says that he worked with PPA and met with a bunch of legislative people who all thought that online poker needed to be legalized. He says that he would be surprised if online poker is not legalized within the US in the next 6 months. HOOORAY |

I have 2 words for why this will not happen within 6 months:
National. Elections. Now, come January 2009 all bets are off (lol).

Basically, if nothing gets done with regulation and nothing is completely clarified with enforcement, then all bets are off in both directions until about June of '09. Of course, if you've been following the discussion on 2p2, the bill before the Mass. legislature to license 3 B&M casinos in the Commonwealth includes specific language criminalizing online gambling. Those pols gotta protect their revenue stream.

Surprising comments - well, the 6 months part of it anyway. Hopefully Barry knows something I don't know.
