League?
The last discussion of a league kind of died out on the note "some time in the future".
Now that the fall is upon us (at least in North America. I am not sure how that works elsewhere), would it be a good time to start up?

I definitely want to get another league going too. They are always fun. I've even thought of putting a schedule together, but I procrastinate far too much. I'm definitely not willing to keep score, but maybe Robbie can if Blib isn't around, he's been keeping score for our own home league.
We already have the rules in place, the ones for the last league games will carry over fine. Only other thing missing is players. But I think once a schedule is posted, we might see more people putting their money in for the league. |

Having joined AFTER the last time a league was done here, I guess the thing I am most curious about is how it is set up with the site.
I am 200 FPP's short of requesting tournaments Stars (I think you need 2000 right?), because I moved on over to Tilt. I would also be willing to do the score keeping if there is an established system. I have really enjoyed the few forum/Raistlin tournaments that I have played and am looking forward to more!

I am around and regularly checking the forum lately, so I can keep score for this one too.
I would like to see more people in each of the events this time. Not sure how we make this happen, but the 4-15 player events (mostly toward the smaller numbers) shouldn't be the standard. For those who have not played in previous ones, what would make you play in more/some of the events this time? I liked the variety of events as we did last time, the mix seemed pretty balanced for NLHE and other varieties.

I think a lower buy-in would get more players to play more events.

Yeah, once you've earned enough FPPs, which I think you're right, it is 2000, you can email Stars support and they will give you access to creating private tourneys.
There's a bunch of us here with enough to create the tourneys though, so that shouldn't be a problem. As for getting enough people to play, it's always been a bit of an issue. Some games had a good turn out and some didn't. For myself, the only time I won't be playing in the league games is if I'm scheduled to work. |

It didn't seem to be happening here, so I joined one elsewhere.

So basically, in order for a league to happen (here), I have to set it up...?
I guess I don't understand why that has to be the case... Why couldn't you (or anyone else who posted interest in this thread) come up with a schedule and set it up? The reason I didn't do this myself, btw, is because it seems like we only had 10 or so people interested, and I don't think that's enough for a fun league. I think we need 20 or so to at least show interest for it to be worth doing. |
