Dags owns me. (again)
i dropped 1k to him at 3/6 when he sat my table, tonight he sat my 5/10 table. i know i obv dont have an edge on him but i just play him cuz its kinda cool and i always want to beat him. he plays super tight tho which i never expect.
god he is so hard to play, i dn if its the cards or what, but it's like he really never makes a mistake, and whenever im planning on making a play on him, like c/r the flop, he somehow knows it and never does what i want him to, ever. i just slowly bleed chips to him no matter how hard i try when hes prob barely trying. well i only made this thread to post the HH but i just looked and somehow i lost it. i hit nut flush vs his boat, which sucked, but either way hes impossible to play.

It was JDags himself who made the (semi) famous quote "I got rich by playing against donkeys, not Daniel Negreanu". While Dags is no DN, although he is at least in the conversation, I think this speaks volumes. Dont let pride/curiosity cost you $ and confidence. You are better than 95% of the players out there, seek them out, the bottom of the barrell. If you sit down to play, but it doesnt look optimal, dont sit. Wait a half hour, reread on old forum thread about hands YOU posted back in the day; something/anthing but playing him. Hell just rail one of the big games and take good notes.
Another famous quote that is fitting "You could be the 10th best player in the world, but if you are playing against the top 9............" |
