WPT 2006 Borgota Winter Poker Open
So it's underway today. LOTS of big names in it. Apparently Phil Ivey left the table to go up to his room to have a nap.
A lot of the big names haven't even taken their seats at the tables yet as play started rather early this morning. The early chip leader (with ~$90K) is Josh "Sdouble" Schlein. You've mentioned him before haven't you TP??? Everyone starts with $25K in chips and blinds are 1:15 long. |

sdouble is one of the "better" toruney players on stars. i cant speak to his true skill level, but he definitely has the results in their tourneys over a significant period of time.

Yes, Josh is my boy... He's the guy I got to know in Aruba after playing with him for 2 days - he went on to finish second there. Saw him in the Bahamas too - hung out with him in the lobby off and on.
He's a solid player. He made fairly quick work of your girl Isabelle in the Battleship (Heads Up with laptops) tourney. |

What's really funny is that right now, CardPlayer lists only Freedy Deeb with more chip than Josh. That's how they finished in Aruba. 1-2.

MY girl?!?!?! I don't see any pictures of me foot-to-foot with Ms. Mercier...
Although I am watching her on TV right now. CITY-TV (Toronto) is showing WPT Ladies Night II. |

Today is Josh's 21st birthday. That's pretty cool.

No kidding. What a great way to celebrate your birthday! I'm guessing that this will be his first live tourney on U.S. soil.

Unless he got in some sort of SNG after midnight last night, I'm thinking this is a pretty good guess.
