Prob bet on how long it takes?
And while the Star is cool, I agree with Mayhem and would think it would be way more +$EV to move up to $11 games or whatever the next level is. GL. |

I disagree. although I do play $11's and $20's I dont feel the need to move up totally and forget about $4's. I mean obviously I have a huge edge in these games and moving up I lose some of that edge. Although I might still be better then those players I know im a hell of a lot better then the $4's so why totally eliminate the game where I have a huge edge. I run a 180s heeb every month and its outlined as playing all 180's, and to tell you the truth I usually make more from the $4's then any of the other buy in levels. I will play at least 500 $4 180s every year and im fine with that. Why do you think some cash game players that are bankrolled for 2/4nl still play 1/2? its because they feel they can make more at the lower limits with their edge then they will at higher limits.

I would say that this is really just not correct. I think the edge of making more drops right off at 10/20 because hardly any games run above that. 1/2 is a little softer than 2/4, but by no means 2* as soft, and even if it were 2* as soft sometimes it is better to play in harder games so that you can keep moving up the ladder in the pay scale by improving your play.
Staying at a $4 buyin level is just costing yourself money, plain and simple. |
