My favorite way to lose with AA...
Home game tonight. Tourney. I'm rolling along, as per my usual, before I start losing coinflips to short stacks and then the bad beats get the best of me. This is true.... Of course, I'm up well over $2000 in the past year playing these $30 tourneys, so I must be doing something right.
Anyhoo, I get AA UTG. I raise the BB (400) the minimum (800). Short Stack goes all in (with 55), as I expected/hoped for $1400ish. SB thinks and calls. I push in for another $4500ish. SB says he's pretty sure I have KK (good read - I wasn't trying to be fancy, pretty obvious I have a huge hand). I have him covered by 150 chips. He says he hopes I have QQ because he had AK. I sooooo want him to call. Finally he does, I turn over my AA and sure enough TWO of the remaining 3 Kings hit the board, and I'm down to 150 chips. The blinds go up to 300/600 the next hand, and I magically rebuild my stack to 4700 chips again. This was about to be my best comeback ever. I push in with K9s from the button (we're 4 handed), hoping to pick up $900 in blinds. The BB calls me with JTo. I flop TWO PAIR....... You klnow how this is about to end. Yup, Q on the river. And that's the end of me. Did I mention how sick and tired I am of getting ym AA cracked? |

LOL, damn, that sucks.
Home games are cool though. My buddies aren't very good, sounds like your buddies aren't very good, and it's just awesome when someone says "poker at my house" and I know I'm set with a $50 and no chance I'll be re-buying for the 4 hour session. I usually get rides too so I beat my buddies piss drunk .
