isnt that the guy who got second in last year wcoop in the 500 nl tourney. he was pretty funny during the whole final table but i remember him playing that tourney pretty tight. you will beat that guy in the long run jd.

It looks like, after a very rough start, JD is pwning this donk on two tables.
Nice comeback Keep it up vunderkind.... Although I obviously envy the actual $ he is making, it is more the confidence and perseverence that is truly impressive. To lose an average years salary, and have the stones to keep putting money on the table, knowing you have an advantage in the long run............. well Will you marry me JD? |

HOLY SHIT.
so the idiot ends up just killing me/ running me over till he gets up to 50k on one table. i could not hit a hand to save my life, i was just wondering why the hell i ran worse than ever when i move up to play morons. then he joins another 50/100 table cuz hes all confident. i'm down like 55k at this point on the night. finally i start hitting and he keeps playin super aggro and making mistakes, plus i have great reads on him by now. i make some big plays and finally hit some hands... eventually win it all back +23k. what a fucking insane night. thank God he did not quit me, i knew i'd beat him as long as he didnt. im just gonna count this towards september since it was a continuation of the night. so i had another 50k+ month which was my goal.

big winners...
I really like how i played this hand, i basically c/ min R the T but it looks so strong he has to fold alot of hands, plus he had been floating me a ton and betting small on the T and i would give up alot. Very strange hand. I put him basically exactly on QK and was almost positve it was what he had and just had to go w my read even tho it coulda turned out ugly. Nothing to exciting, he was too willing to get it in there with the FD but with how we were playing I guess it could be somewhat likely I was bluffing. Cold-deck him. Shoulda bet more on the Turn. This hand I had him on a hand like 67 or something. I like my Turn bet size so he felt he could push as alot of times I could have air there too. biggest pot of my life for sure. Snap called his shove. there is no way he pushes any PP higher than TT there. somehow my hand held up thank God. big loser... hated calling here but vs him it's so hard to fold. I shoulda folded tho I'm sure I dn it's prob at least somewhat close. the other 2 i already posted.

Man...I read this thread and winced. Maybe I just don't have the chops to be high roller but I could not FATHOM playing at a level where a single hand can be worth the better part of my annual salary.
Short of being a multi-millionaire, I don't think I could ever see myself playing at a level greater than about $5/10 - MAYBE $10/20... |
