| With massive volume comes some fun hands...

The good news is I barely even care about the bad beats anymore, which is pretty awesome in itself. When a whole string of them happen in a short period and I'm on an extended downswing, it still bothers me a little bit, but nothing like it used to... Anyhoo, today I lost with the best hand I have ever lost with: Quad 7s. I got it in set under set (777 under AAA) on the flop, so I wasn't even ahead, but the turn and river gave us both quads. The Ace came first, which is a little less fun, but still, in all the hands I have ever played, that is the closest I've ever had to one that would qualify for the old Party Poker Bad Beat Jackpot - pretty sure that required losing with quad 8s or better. Good stuff. |

I am glad to hear that you are, what looks like, more even keel than before. Personally, I could never begin to critique your poker game as it is lightyears beyond whatever I would muster, but it's cool to see the improvements that you mentioned. Focus on the positive instead of worrying about when the next impending disaster will turn up.
