This is my guess too. I haven't been impressed with Eli's play either, but it's certainly working against Sammy.

Let's put i this way, if Jamie Gold was playing EXACTLY like either of these guys, I think everyone would be saying he's the worst player in the world, etc, etc... but because they are who they are, they get cut some slack.

Negreanu/Lindgren/Antonio all play a lot of hands (well, not so much Lindgren), but they don't play them stupid. They see a lot of flops, yes, but they pick good spots to make plays, and don't just throw their money around without good reason.

Meanwhile, Wasica is the other extreme, obviously playing very scared. Harman/Dolye/Barry seem to be somewhere in the middle, with a really good balance.
