I'm with you guys.... I don't get it either. The refs have WAY too much control. And I definitely don't get how they don't have the technology to stop a clock, but would rather just add a handful - some arbitrary and unknown amount - of time to the end of the game. That way, the players will be surprised when the game ends - it could be any second!!! Ohhhh, how exciting is that???
I'm so glad the Simpson clip is on YouTube, because I agree that it perfectly expresses my views towards the game.
