Default So Far for me..

So far from what I hear, and my own experiences everything is the same until 5/10. I find 5/10 TOUGH! I am not sure why, and it could just be me. It also could be that the lower levels were too easy for me, and 5/10 is what Poker is like for everyone. I cannot say. All I know is I could not handle the swings at this time.

I have heard others say 3/6 is better than 5/10. Most notably BisonBison from 2+2. He is a FAR better player than I am and he stays away. He says it is too tight, and I am not sure I agree with that although I could be missing his point totally.

The most important thing I would consider when jumping from .50/1 to 2/4 or 2/4 to 3/6 is have a sufficient bankroll of 300xBB (1800 for 3/6). If not you might be destroyed. If you have no problem losing all of your money at a level and buying back in then do not worry about the 300xBB, however I take it seriously.

One thing I would suggest when going up also is to play a single table for a day or two. This gets you accustomed to the larger looking pots and blinds, and you can concentrate more when playing a single table. Just what I like to do.

I had 300xBB going up to the 5/10 level. I lost 100BB over two weeks and decided to call it quits because my bankroll was hurt and I no longer had even close enough to play 5/10. I am going to build up again and give it another try when I get between 4K and 5K. I might be mature enough in my game by then to succeed. Good luck to you in what you try. Keep asking questions. Keep growing. Do not let pride stop you from playing within your limits.
