This is now my 450th post. I can honestly say that this site kicks ass, there are many characters on it and I enjoy trading strategies and thoughts with all of you.
That being said, I have to admit that when I first joined this site, I was thinking "Hey, easy way to make a couple of bucks on top of doing little at work". I thought that maybe a couple of 2 bit sentences here and there would qualify as a post and I'd be at 1000 in no time.
However, being on this site for about 4-5 weeks now, and having posted so much, I can now say that most of my posts have been very well thought out and not quick little one-liners for the old post metre. Whether it be talking about stupid US gambling tax policies
(sorry for the low blow guys), or the Red Sox (Pedro met with Steinbrenner on Tuesday, for those of you wondering), or even, dare I say it, POKER (discussion that no longer occurs on rec.gambling.POKER).
One more thing I can say to everyone is that if TP is giving you guys money to post, pay him back and use his links. He is still going to be less thn breaking even when you use them, but using them none-the-less will offset the costs of him bringing us this wonderful site. If I make a 1000 posts before he stops paying out, yippee, if not, who cares, I enjoy message boards and will continue to post on whatever I want in the future.
