As for Party’s treatment of their affiliates, that’s just short-sighted. It’s particularly amusing in this case, as I can’t think of many people better qualified to bring them more business than the admin of a decent sized online poker community. Also, they’ve got to realize how hard it is for an affiliate to generate a genuine new RMP – how many online poker players don’t already have Party accounts? If TP went rogue (ha,ha) and offered us a verboten rakeback deal, and we all cancelled our current accounts, then signed back up through him with clean computers, Netteller accounts, etc, would that make them happy? Would it make us happy?

As for Penguin’s post, I have 100x more experience at Party than at Stars, but I have found the general consensus that Party is looser than Star to be true. So I’m losing on the river more often at Party than I am at Stars, but that’s OK, because when my premium hands do hold up, they hold up for fat pots. For clarification, I’m not saying anything about Party or Stars software – just a comment on the players, not the cards.
