I distinctly remember making my final $10 withdraw one day during my sophomore year. The ATM receipt said my balance was $3.16, which was all the money I had in the world (plus the 10 bucks in my wallet that was about to be spent). I taped it to the mirror in my dorm room, as a reminder to never let myself get that broke again, and fortunately, I never did. I wonder if I still have that thing somewhere...
I'm honestly glad poker wasn't popular when I was in school. It definitely could have been a problem for me - not just financially, but because I would have undoubtedly missed out on some of the best times of my life...
