Ethics aside, I believe you could indeed do that. It will work for most of the sites out there, but the IP address might be a problem for you at a few, like you suggested. If you use your wife's name though (and don't create another account for yourself), I'm guessing you'll be ok. Worst case is you would get a phone call and need to explain to them that it really is a different person using the account. If you're willing to do that, there's no need to use a different physical address - since presumably you and your wife live under the same roof.

I can't give you exact info here... just speculation. I imagine it varies from site to site. I know some of them take having multiple accounts quite seriously though.
