Default Am I playing wrong level

Ok here is a question, I love tournament poker, in fact it would be true to say playing in mmt's I can do for hours. Now apart from playing in a couple of $50 NL tournies and Once in the $200 which I happened to place in the $50 once and the $200 the only time my limit is usually around $20.

Every PL Ohmaha I seem to enter I reach final tbl lately, so I was talking to a friend telling him to get away from freerolls and he doubeted that I could even place in top 100 in a freeplay.

So to prove a point I entered a free play today 2000+ pp and trust me this was my first freeplay in over 2 years and a 40fpp sat with over 400 and we sat and had a few smokes talking about oldtimes ect. So in the freeplay I sat out the whole of the first hour much to his amusement, I had 860 left and told him this was enough, 3 hours later there was 100 players left I was in 9 place with 110k chips and sat out the last 1 hour 4 min and finished 3rd. The 40fpp gave 5 seats to the sat 4000 final with 2 wsop seats up for grabs.

So to get to the point of this story, should I really be moving into higher level mmt tournies and focus on serious money and should I take my 4000 fpp and try upto 8 times to win a sng into the sun mil.

b4 you all come down on me I have now reached 57 final tables on pokerstars in multi tournies in the past 2and half years this cant be bad can it?
