Well, after a few months of resisting, I finally caved today and joined the PPA. Nobody lobbied me. Nobody tried to twist my arm. I just decided that I was being too much of a nit by not joining because i disagree with one of their goals.

Win the battle first. Fight the bigger war later.

Have you read the huge thread about them in the 2p2 legislation forum?

I read Mason's first statement about them, but haven't followed it since.

The gist I got from skimming it when it first started was that they pretty much have their heads up their asses in regards to having an outline of how they are spending our signup money. They say what their mission is, but dont give any insight as to HOW they are going to accomplish it. Having a million poker players in a group doesnt mean shit if all we are doing is standing around with our dicks in our hands.

Not well organized, haven't filed any financial disclosures. Things like that. remember, the 2+2 corporate entity is very circumspect about endorsing anything or any organization, so take that however you'd like. If I feel like torturing myself, I may plow through the thread once I get home tonight.

PPA has taken approx $3mil and so far openly only spent $450k or aboutt hat.

the APCW has done loads for more us so far, with little funding, and are helping all the 4 gambling areas, casino/poker/sports/bingo.

Thats why i wont join, aside from the fact all ive seen them do is write some letters and give us some phone numbers

The one good thing about all of us standing around with our dicks in our hands is that it at least assures that we won't miss the bowl and pee in that little crevice between where the tank is and where the seat goes down. Cause man, that's a bitch to have to wipe down.
