No way to move money off poker sites?

For the record (Lou loves when I say that), I have no idea how things are going to shake out with all of this. But I do not think the sky is falling, nor do I think that people are going to lose all the money they have online and so on.

I think it's likely that getting money TO the poker sites is going to be a lot more difficult that getting money FROM the poker sites, so think carefully before you go and do anything drastic.

If any of you Americans are worried, I would be more than happy to sit down at a $20/40 game on Stars and you can dump your money to me. I will then drive down to the States with freshly cashed US $$$ and deliver it...for a small commission of course :D .

Mansion hasn't dealt with U.S. players (officially, anyway - I have no idea how JD plays there) for a few months now.

How many times do I have to tell you guys that Poker is still open?

You can keep saying it, but it still doesn't work for me, and when I emailed them about it the other day, the confirmed: No U.S. players.

Maybe it works for existing accounts or something, but it doesn't look like it does for new ones.

OK, the download worked for me tonight (odd), but their are pretty clear - If you live in the U.S. and participate in any of their "restricted services," they can keep your money and close your account. It says so right there.

That site doesn't exactly put out the most accurate articles. Off recent memory, they were the first to break that PokerStars would pull out of the US market.

But did they say When? :D :p
