$MM $2.5M Demographics
I just had a thought while filling out their personal survey this morning.
What's the probability that, at 55, I will be the oldest person in the tourney? What's the over/under on how many of my 26 opponents will be older than me? If a bookie were to set the over/under at 1 1/2, which would you bet? |
You're old, but you're not that old. I'd take the over. I only need one person out of 25 to be 56 or older. :)
|
I would take the under. I don't believe that 60+ year olds playing online poker represent 1/27 of the people playing online freerolls.
|
I think the average age will almost SURELY be over 1 1/2 years old.
Oh, right, I see.... Yeah, I'd take the under. There may be one guy older than you, but definitely not 2. |
Actually, you would need 2, because 1 < 1.5. 2 > 1.5. See how that works?
|
You'd need 2/26. I'm not counting me.
|
See, I missed that in the original post. If I didn't miss it, I'm sure I would have understood it, because the undergrad degree hanging in my office says Mathematics. (So, generally, I'm good w/ that stuff.)
That being said, I like the under. |
First post ever here that made me feel young. Thanks Kurn!
|
remember the story about the old man who turned 90.
A reporter asked him how it felt to be 90. The old man said "Same as it feels to be 20, but have a whole lot wrong." |
under.
One thing that may work in your favour though, everyone else being younger than you, its all about the image |
Agreed. It's pretty likely I also have lots more live poker experience than my opposition.
|
definatly.
I know if it was me if i saw you for example betting into me on the river with nothing, id have more respect for you subconcsiously than if it was Boobie aged 21 or whatever, talking live games now. |
That's it!
I've looked past this one way to long. It's "definitely." |
way to keep this thread on topic:thumbsup: :twocents:
