You can just see it in his face, he is fearful of RD...

LOL.... Go get him, stud!

Allen must have been getting in the hands he's required to at the $1/$2 tables under his FT contract early this month. :D

lightfungus 11-07-06 02:59 PM

I was wondering why I see pros at lower levels like this. Do their contracts specify this kinda thing?

JDMcNugent7 11-07-06 03:08 PM

they arent doing it for fun. im sure some of them have to play low limits.

Reel Deal 11-07-06 03:54 PM

I'm 99.9% sure they are required by contract. Why else would Allen Cunningham be sitting at a 1/2 NL table w/$60?

hiimbob12 11-07-06 04:06 PM

He went bust?

eejit101 11-07-06 04:12 PM

he isnt me you know. he didnt lose 5mil in 2 months:rolleyes:

Although I don't know if they're required to sit at the smaller stakes tables, it's great marketing. It gets players who usually sit at lower stakes tables to play a little bit higher - which generates more rake for the site.

Take RD for example... Are you regularly playing $1/2NL, or did you jump in when you saw the chance to play w/ a Pro?

I completely agree. Plus, it gives FT a direct advantage over many of its competitors. It's the only site I know of that lets players know when and where pros are playing (by virtue of its red table option). Cunningham playing at a 1/2 table doesn't say, "Hey, I'm broke." It says, "Hey, poker's a game anyone can play, and I'd like to see if you can match wits with me for a while."

As much as I like Stars, the only time I ever really see those big-name players around is either (A) during high-stakes games I can't afford, or (B) in highly publicized MTTs.

Wow.

So surprised you picked the elephant.

I played some 1/2 NL but really only when I find a donk on my buddy list at that level. So, you're absolutely right, I only jumped there for the chance to play against AC... good marketing FT.

Reel Deal 11-08-06 11:05 AM

Ha! I didn't even think of that (I change my avatar at FT a lot).

You'll be proud of me my liberal pinko friend, I actually voted for one Dem yesterday... just couldn't bring myself to vote for that crazy bitch Katherine Harris, the sight of that woman makes my skin crawl.
