I have to think you could win seats fairly easily if you take a few stabs at them. The buy-ins are relatively low, especially considering the stakes you play at. The few that i have been on (back when i could actually play poker....but i digress) had people that literally just continuously play satellites and go on those trips over and over again. TP will back me on this. its like their little satellite-trip-tour.
