More Topics

There doesn't seem to be that many categories. So most topics go under the general section. It might be a good idea to spread it out a little bit.

Like you could have a category for Hold'Em, Another for Stud, Another for Omaha. Then under Hold'em, you can have like bad beat stories, multi tourneys, sit n go.

But you've been running this for a while, so you probably know more than me. =P

hmmm

think the hold'um category would have like 99.9$% of the posts since most dont play stud and omaha. I play them all but spend about 85% on holdum.

I may add a section for "Non-Hold'Em games," but I really, really prefer the forum to have most topics in a single section. It's not THAT hard to keep up with after a quick glance of the subject lines. Personally, I prefer that over having to open dozens of different sections to see what the new threads/posts are.

Think of this place like RGP, with all the annoying crap sectioned off, so you don't ever have to see it unless you really want to :)

The only possible exception I would like to see is a forum just for SNG games, though it might not get the action the general poker forum does I still think it is a different type of game from MTT or cash games and has alot of value that is being unaddressed.

Maybe there's a way to do this already, but maybe also add the ability to mark the post we want. So we wouldn't have to search it. That way you can find a certain topic in the past a bit easier.

My thoughts:

Right now, I think it works. If this site takes off, and LOTS of members join, adding more sections will streamline things. But, since the free-money offer ends at the end of December, I wonder if the site continues to gain members at its current rate.

Probably not.

I think it's fine as of right now. If we make more sections most aren't going to have many posts in them anyway. Probably won't have to worry about that unless a lot of members start becoming active.
