Well, the Pokerstars EPT France is well under way and there seems to be a familiar face atop the leaderboard. Check out the Pokerstars blog .

I must say, Ms. Mercier is definitely looking cute today with her hair up like that. There's also a few other pics of her from today if you look through the most recent four or five posts.

"Still going strong" according to the latest blog entry, but no chip counts... I hope she's still alive and goes deep.

Pretty funny how Raymer got busted on the second hand of the tourney too, btw. Pushing in with a flush draw. Silly Fossilman...

I saw that, and laughed. Then I laughed again last night when I was playing a SNG on Stars and ended up all-in on the very first hand. Unfortunately the bastard's aces had the nerve to hold up against my jacks...oops.

The latest post has chip counts and she's not doing too bad. It's looking like she's at 24th with 63,650 in chips (leader has ~143K).

On a side note, what goes through your mind right before going all-in second hand at a big poker tourney with a flush draw?

I'd rather stay home and sleep than do something like that.

Well, the latest update has Isabelle showing No Mercy and sitting in fifth. But then the post above it states that the chip leader (with 500K+ chips) has been knocked out. So I don't know where that puts her. Fourth? Higher???

The final table is set for the EPT France tomorrow. Eight players will face off for the top prize of 480,000 euros (plus a e10,000 buy-in to the EPT Final).

When they got down to 10 players, Isabelle had "only" $152k. She doubled with with QQ vs AK (by making a straight, which likely means he almost knocked her out) and has a nice stack now.

There is some nice money on the line here. These are the payouts:

I thought I had read that she doubled up with QQ making an "unnecessary" straight. I read that to imply that she had him before that. Of course, the only way that makes sense is if the river was a king...

Or a J, T, 9, or 8 (with no A or K on the board).

Duh...stupid Rob. That's what I get for trying to think after being up from 6:45am...

Well, the day is over for Isabelle. Her 99 ran into AK and the board turned an ace. She cashes out e60,800. Not too bad for 3 days work...
