Bad Beat
 

I was playing on this table and one of the guys was on a good run. He was playing everything, and not playing well. This was at the 5/10 level. I raise KK and a very non-scary flop happens. I bet, he calls. Now a straight possability happens. I bet.

He says in chat "I need a 10"

The next card is a 10 to make his runner-runner straight. I called his last bet to make sure he was not bluffing. Man! I was pissed! I got some revenge later. I had an open-ended straight draw and made it on the river.

We had some friendly banter going around, and he was a nice guy from my State of MA. I hate those suckout straights though!

I never know how to take those players who announce their hands. For the most part, I think people are lying, but those tricky HONEST fucks mess everything up.

It's a huge tell though, because you can get a good read AND a good player note.

Personally, I hate playing with people who love to chat it up. Its annoying to me, hahaha. Like when the game hasn't even started and some guy starts running his mouth about how he's gonna rape the table. But four hands later he's gone! Geez.

I love to do this but say no 10's dealer if i need a 10 or whatever. Just love to mess with people. Only chatting i do costs me money. I am like hellmuth bc i drill lucky drawn players

I think he was telling me about the ten because we were getting friendly at the table. We had a really good natured banter going and we were having fun. We both knew about the area's we lived in, and hit it off. It did not stop me from check-raising him with my straight though! heh.

LOL. thats kinda funny. I may try that without it and see what happens

Yeah...runner runner is the worst :( Makes me turn into a mini-Hellmuth too many times too lol.
