Net Teller

So i set up a net teller account today - since pokerstars wont let me deposti through credit card, but net teller wont allow it either. How do i get my money on there then ?

Well it needs to be linked to your checking account. Use that.

You have to register your bank account with them. They will then deposit a tiny amount in your bank account, twenty cents or so. Then you have to call them and tell them the amount that they deposited into your account. This is how they verify you are who you say you are and you have access to that bank account. The process takes about three days usually. Then you choose INSTA cash to get money instantly into your Neteller account. They will take it out of your bank account in a couple days, same idea as a check. Usually takes a couple days to clear. But Insta cash charges 8% interest for the convenience. So if you request $50, you'll get the $50 instantly in Neteller but when they take it out of your account it comes up to $54.50 approx. Your other option is to choose an EFT transfer from your bank account to Neteller. There is no interest charged on that, but it takes 3 days or so to show up in your Neteller account. Not very cool if you are looking to play now.

i dont understand why credit card companies dont like allowing to deposit to pokerstars- its obviously a very legitamate and secure sight, whats the deal with not having faith in them ?

I believe it's because there is too much fraud and too many chargebacks.

Legality?

This might also have to do with the questionable legality of online poker. Even if chargebacks weren't an issue, I wonder if MC/Visa would be allowed to do these transactions. Keep in mind Party, Bodog, etc. are still restricted to only advertising their .net 'fun' sites.

Talking Poker 10-23-05 07:23 PM

Oh yeah. That too. :)

Gordogg 10-23-05 07:46 PM

Legality is the reason from what I've heard.

JDMcNugent7 10-23-05 09:59 PM

kinda forgot about that LITTLE issue.

some credit card companies just wont do gambling transactions.

BTW, you don't have to give Neteller your banking info if you don't want. I set up an account there and then funded it by transfering $$ from one of my poker accounts, after that you could make the transfer to Stars.
