This is the ultimate bad beat.

I dont know how to get a hand history off prima, so ill just type it out..

3/6 NL, 6 seater table. ( i sat with $200)

Seat 1. $700
Seat 2. Me $386
Seat 3 - $97
Seat 4 - $1145
Seat 5 - $560
Seat 6 - $323

Cards are dealt, i get Jack 9 diamonds. I am on the button.

Seats 5 and 6 fold. Seat 1 raises minimum to $12, i call.

Seat 3 calls, as does seat 4. $48 in pot.

Flop comes 7d, 8d, 10h.

I have nut striaght and flush draw.

Seat 3 bets $35, seat 4 folds. Seat 1 raises all in.

I think about it, realise i must be at least a %60 favourite against both combined, and push all in. Seat 3 calls.

Cards shown....

Seat 1 - Ah Ac
Me - Jd 9d
Seat 3 - 10c 10s

Turn is the ace of diamonds, i have flush now, they both have trips.

River is the other remaining ace. I needs some odds of this happening.

Seat 1 wins the pot of about $900, because he is a lucky fuck.

That sucks dude :(

I ran ur hand through pokerstove and it gave me the aces odds of winning after the flop at 1.77% which means runner runner perfect. However, after the turn his odds jumped to 16.667% because of full house possibility.

Oh and just to rub it in a bit more, u were better than you expected when all the money went in, 68.3% favourite. Although I cant really blame any of the calls, the min raise by the aces was a definite no-no though.

Damn.... that stings.

eejit101 09-01-05 01:57 AM

it stings my bankroll building, i have gone from a $5 no deposit bonus to $1300 by some shrewd bonus hunting and some good hands, that set it back a bit.

And to make it worse, i broke my mouse hand today, im slow as anything at the tables now!!

JDMcNugent7 09-04-05 01:11 PM

how u brake ur hand ?

eejit101 09-04-05 09:26 PM

i broke it having a row with my girlfeidn, she has some serious trust problems, and we had a long chat, she threatened to leave, its a long story but its all fine now. Basically she walked off half way through me saying something to her, and i hate bad manners, so i chased her and punched her, lol, only joking.

I hit a door in the wrong angle after a very hard week, to do with my Bank and work and losing this hand, and her weirdness:)

I hit the door, and then on the way down hit the handle, so my knuckle fractured and my little finger looks like this...

_____
__/\__)

just imagine that as my finger, it hurts like f**k!

Funny... not funny haha, but funny ironic.... because I think I may have broken my finger a couple of weeks ago. I assumed it was just sprained and swollen, but it's been 15 days now and it's still not the right shape. I think I'm going to get it Xray'd this week. It's mostly functional, but I can't make a fist, and when I bang it unexpectedly (a lot more often than you would think), it hurts like a sumbitch.

I hurt mine on a rope swing, btw. Jumped out of the tree, swung out over the river, and jumped off. The first time was great. The second time my hand were wet and I slipped. My finger either got caught on the way down or just banged into the knot in the rope really hard, but it was killing me before I hit the water. 3 miles of kayaking later, it was WAY swollen.... not to mention black and blue for a week.

eejit101 09-05-05 02:32 AM

LOL, the good news for you is that it shouldnt be broken if it came up that colour, is should be internal bruising, which hurts mkore but your hand will go completely back to normal after 4 weeks. Im not here to judge it, so i would say get it Xrayed in case im wrong, but who knows, i may be right for once! lol

Talking Poker 09-05-05 11:13 AM

I hope that's true. It was improving daily in the beginning, but I don't think it's improved at all in a good 10 days now... so I think I should probably get it checked out.

junYUN 09-05-05 12:45 PM

i think i broke my thumb a week ago in a bar brawl

everytime i try to do anything with any pressure it hurts like a bee-yotch

eejit101 09-07-05 12:59 AM

get it checked TP, i could be front, it could be fractured, but the swelling suggests internal bruising or a clot, and 99% its bruising, but GO incase it is a clot

Talking Poker 09-07-05 01:13 AM

I called today and reluctantly made an appointment for Thursday (WCOOP tomorrow).

The bruising has been gone for a week and a half. It's not a clot... but it is annoying, so I figured I might as well have it checked out. It feels to me like the "swelling" is actually the bone sticking out over there (left side of big knuckle), but I have trouble believing that's the case. I would think that would hurt a lot more than it does.

Rub some dirt on it. You'll be fine.
