Poker Chip Manufacturing

Anyone know where I can buy a machine to manufacture my own chips or how people make them? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I actually looked into this a while back because my parents have alot of equipment that would work for the job and I found precious little information except that for the fact it is alot tougher and expensive than you might expect.

Are you looking to go into business, or just make them for personal use?

If you were going into business, you may want to reconsider. I'm sure there are mass producers and you couldn't compete with their economies of scale :D.

If for personal use, you'd probably find it an awful lot cheaper to just buy them somewhere.

Anyone know the manufacturing companies (wholesale) that people from ebay are getting it from. I wouldn't mind selling on ebay.

Just run a google search for "poker chip wholesalers", and I'm sure you'll find a bunch of places. Mine are from Ohio, can't remember the maker but they are great chips, and I am breaking them in next weekend.

I saw something about this saying that most distributors (ebay, etc.) were getting them wholesale from China. I'm sure there are others, but that seemed to be the major exporter from the sites I looked at.

Be wary about some of those ebay sites. I bought some chips for my self a while back, and then just recently bought some more (from a different person) as a gift. And I hear that the newer chip set has 3 broken chips already, within two weeks of using them!

Buyer Beware!

I have a problem with the new tournament series. I bought them about 2 weeks and this past weekend was my second time to use them. The labels started to come off (6 chips already). It was kind of upsetting at first because I had to replace the chips during th etournament. I still like them thought they are nice looking. Oh well! that is what you get when you have labels on them.

as we all know im a hellmuth fan so i found my perfect match. The New Hellmuth poker collection. 500 chips, 2 DVD's, play poker like the pros book(he is autographing it for me through UB), 6 decks of cards, Case with glass top. All for 200$. MSRP399.99

yeah, the only problem is you have to look at his ugly mug everytime you play with your chips. you think that might be intentional on his part? he is the only one who can stand looking at himself all the time, so he is just trying to induce you to give him all the chips.

just kidding. that seems like a pretty reasonable deal. i think the msrp is ridiculous, but for 200 it doesnt seem too bad.

lol

Hellmuth is such a nerd. Great poker player, but he acts like a little kid. That facial-laiden poker chip set screams "newbie" from the highest mountain. I wouldn't take it for free unless I knew I could sell it on eBay or something.

I'd watch the DVD and read thru his book... that's definitely about it.
