Great Value on FTP

I dont know if these have been talked about yet but the $8.80 18man turbos for $26 tourney chips is a great value. I just discovered these yesturday and so far I have been using bap money to get my chips and enter $24's which is great since im only using $8 is allowed. Payouts are as follows

1-5 tourney chip
6th $14

the rest go home unhappy, if your good at turbos then you could make a killing getting tons of chips for cheap price. If you get a chip 1/3 times then you break even. I just won another one so far im 2 for 2 in these things.

Ya this is what I got the token in that I used for the KO tourny that I hit 2nd in. Basically one double and you can cruise to a token!!

I think the long term expectation in these for a good player is probably around 50%, but that being said if you are playing $26 MTTs or 45s, then this is a great way reduce variance.

My wife has run quite a few of these and I think she cashes about 50% of the time. She takes the tokens to the Tier 2 18-mans which pay the same ratios but pay out $75 tokens, then she takes those tokens to the $75 single table SNGs. She has made it to the $75 step 4 or 5 times, with at least 1 win and at least 3 cashes I believe.

If you play 38 of the $8.70 Turbos and win 50% you will have 19 $26 tokens. If you can cash 40% in the $26's. you should come out with 7 $75 tokens. If you win 1 (or 1 second and 1 third) of the $75s you break even. Any additional cashes are all profit :)

Don't know who the referral was, but if it was you, thanks. I've already +Repped him twice.

We could use another handful of jhill's around here. Stick around and spread the word.

I entered in jakebarf's name as I was talking to him when I signed up, but we were talking about Raistlin when the site got mentioned so I thought I would check it out, and now I am hooked! Great place you have here

getting back on topic just won another chip :)

getting back off topic, Jhill has been one of my most consistant investors. Actually think he has invested in all 5 of my baps. Plus I just threw $50 into his current bap because lol he is good....good reason to me. I actually thought he came because of my staking blog... but guess it was jake who I got to go to PTP who in turn found Jhill who he refered here so in some off the wall kinda of way I refered him... thats confusing to me and I typed it up!

any getting back, back on topic yea the $8.70 turbos im loving now!

Thanks for the heads up. I won a chip on my first try. Easy-peasy.

think im like 4/7 or something like that.

Invigilator 05-10-08 05:38 PM

I am 2 for 2 on the 18 man, 0 for 1 on the 6 man and 1 for 1 on the Frenzy tournament.

I have been using them for some of the $26 buy-ins. Fun fun.

jhill3535 05-10-08 05:51 PM

If you all are interested and have time to play them, there are 2 sattys that start at the same time sometime around 6:30CST I think for $14 that feeders into the 50/50. They are very soft and if you play both, you can almost always win a seat. I usually don't have a schedule that allows me to play them, but when I can fit them in, I never miss them. Great value and now you can also unregister and get the T$.

Kurn 05-10-08 06:47 PM

Yeah thanks. 7/12 winning chips in the 6's and 8's.

Invigilator 05-11-08 12:38 AM

Thanks for the info.

jhill3535 05-12-08 02:35 PM

By 6:30CST I hope everyone understood I mean pm.

I am not feeling so lazy today, so I actually looked up the times, and they start at 19:40 FTP Time. $14+1 Satellite to the Fifty Fifty.

The first one usually gets about 100 players and pays out about 25 seats. The second usually gets a lot fewer players like 60 or on average and pays out around 15 seats. These are weekend numbers, during the weak it may be 10-20% less.

Invigilator 05-16-08 11:14 PM

DAMN! this is easy.

Spidey44 05-22-08 04:45 PM

Bah! 0-2 so far... In #3 right now...

Spidey44 05-23-08 10:24 AM

Finally scored on the 3rd thanks to a nice triple up and then a nice suckout (although I would have still been in - just knocked the shortie out on the bubble).
