Preferred site for league.

Where would be willing/able to play?

Most of us have money on either and/or FT and Stars. UB included because bunny is cutie.

Let's see where we would get the most participation. If you would be interested in playing in a league, please respond.

NOTE: poll is set up for multiple responses (in case you have accounts on multiple sites)

This poll has just started, but I already like the idea that TP mentioned in the other league thread. I'll try to put together a schedule of events that will focus on the most popular site (stars), but will also go over into FT.

I also like that stars has games that FT does not have. I figure that there should be at least one 2-7 triple draw event and even one 5 card draw event.

I will begin polls tonight that will attempt to see where opinion is on night, time, games and buy-in. Tune in and voice your opinion folks, as I would like to hammer out a schedule in the next week and I want to consider every voice that wants to be heard.

:thumbsup:5 CARD DRAW FTW!

Free tip: In the past, 9:30 PM seemed to be the best time for forum games. Many people prefer later, but very few prefer earlier. And it can't be too late for some of the east coast people with day jobs.

Also, Saturdays are horrible. Sunday nights were generally ok, as were M-Th nights... I'd recommend avoiding Fridays and Saturdays though.

Do some research, and you'll find a lot of this stuff has already been hashed out (but feel free to redo it so we have current opinions to work with, of course!).

I prefer PokerStars, only cause I have enough money there.
But I guess I could transfer through folks here to Full Tilt if necessary.

Invigilator 10-31-07 07:44 PM

Oceanwaves and Nikita wouldn't be able to play on FT. I guess I should have worded the poll as

Just Stars
Just FT
Either is fine.

Is there anyone else who would not be able to have an account on FT or Stars? (money transers can get the dough there)

Talking Poker 10-31-07 11:58 PM

Why can't N1kita and Oceanwaves play on Full Tilt? Did they get banned for colluding or something?

Started working weekends, so Friday-Sat, is out for me.

Hehe, I'm the only one who chose UB.

Invigilator 11-01-07 10:16 AM

I have been waiting to hear back from support at FT about having an account for OW since we are under the same roof. I was told by someone once that Stars has security protocols to allow this, but that FT did not.

Of course, we all know how lickity split FTsupport is in responding to questions.

I forget why about Nikita. I could be wrong there.

Robbie Robb 11-01-07 10:41 AM

Nikki's issue is more about them having gave her money twice and wanting it back. ;)

Invigilator 11-01-07 11:03 AM

Those BASTARDS! I hate it whe people give me money*!

* The above statement does not apply to Rakeback

Robbie Robb 11-01-07 11:16 AM

Lol. See - I just hate it when they ask for it back! :D I can't remember the exact timeline but it was quite a few months after the "gift" occurred that they came asking.

Sure, maybe we're being scuzzy by not giving them the money back but one way of looking at it is a type of rakeback on an account that wasn't actually setup with rakeback. :)

Talking Poker 11-01-07 11:48 AM

Sounds to me like N1kita needs a new, rakeback enabled account at Full Tilt.

And I've never heard of the issue you are talking about with Oceanwaves. You're talking about your wife having a legitimate account to play in some private tourney and low stakes stuff (not one for you to multi-account/collude with)... I don't see why that would be a problem at all.

Make sure you sign up through my RB links if/when you do decide to set up the new accounts.

Invigilator 11-01-07 12:26 PM

If she ever goes that way, will-do!

BDMK 11-03-07 12:17 AM

tilt.

if for no other good reason, because i havent played on stars in ages and have almost no $ there at all.

but looks like the stars vote is winning handily already. so oh well. maybe ill join some other time. :)

Invigilator 11-03-07 01:00 AM

You could try swinging some trades with people who have money on both.
