For a little stratgey imput, I think this play is so standard and effective in a spot like this (checking the flop) . For some reason people will always bluff raise all in since they think you are trying to represent the ace. It really works so often

If he leads at the pot for 3/4 pot or so, are you shoving or folding? Just wondering how often you give your opponent credit for AK when you get 3 bet preflop and fired into on a flop like this.

Also, same action as below, but you have AJ. Play it the same? I don't, which is why I'm asking.

I likely toss AJo preflop. If I didn't, I think it plays out the same way (given how villain played this hand) just because I don't think villain will reraise preflop and then check both the flop and the turn with an Ace, unless he knows me to be bluff happy, so Im pretty sure Im good

If opponent leads 3/4 the pot into me it becomes a little trickier. A raise for information commits me (in fact it's a shove), so I guess the line is to call the flop in position and hope he surrenders on the turn. The bad thing is if he doesn't (i.e he pushes the turn), am I really folding getting 3:1? Against a standard player I'd probably say thats the line, since they won't put more money in the pot with an ace out there after their flop bets been called, so if they do push the turn it's probably with AK (but the sick thing is this could easily be with AJ also!), but against a more advanced player, he could easily be putting me on a AJ/AQ hand which I'll toss to a turn push getting 3:1 bc they *obviously* have AK here... so now I may call.
