How often do you play at a B&M?

Given that this is mostly an internet community, I wonder how often people play at their local poker rooms?

Robbie Robb 04-26-07 10:46 PM

Well, considering my "local" poker room is about an hour away and is a certifiable Rock Garden, I don't. In fact, I've never had the experience of playing live at a casino. I had the opportunity once (since I've been involved with poker) at Caesar's Indiana but the wait for the tables was too long and I didn't want to plunk down $100 to play in a tourney there when I had to be up early the next morning.

But gods help me if the Western Fair slots ever gets permission to open up table games...

Invigilator 04-26-07 10:49 PM

I have been going more lately

I made my first trips to play small tournaments (6 table). I started playing cash games (100 max) to get early registration for the tournaments. Hoping to get more chances this summer to focus on the live cash games.

Just poker or other casino games ?
I put 1-5 cause I usually play other stuff at the casino.

Talking Poker 04-26-07 11:25 PM

Does this count poker trips? ie, if I go to the Bahamas and play in a poker tourney for 5 days (one event), do I could 5 or 1? What if I get knocked out on Day 1 and play off and on for 4 more days? 5 again, or just one for the whole trip?

up and down

sometimes more then others so cant really put exact number so I put 6-10

Zybomb 04-27-07 03:36 AM

Clear 25+

stormswa 04-27-07 03:40 AM

this one was obvious.

0 because Ohio has zero casinos so that sucks....

Once or twice a week!

Hello from Washington, where Internet poker is a felony, but I have two card rooms within five miles of my office.

Florida law limits the maximum bet in a live B&M poker room to $2. Florida sucks.

Zybomb 04-27-07 01:36 PM

LMAO at "legal" poker rooms :)

Invigilator 04-27-07 04:31 PM

that's me, Mr. Vague

I was thinking in terms of the total number of days you find yourself in a live, legal and professional establishment for the purposes of playing poker against other human beings.

Zybomb 04-27-07 04:34 PM

In that case I change my vote to 1-5 or 6-10

Ando05 04-27-07 06:02 PM

6-10 here also, i voted for somethin else cuz i understood the question wrong

Talking Poker 04-27-07 06:08 PM

In that case, I change my vote from 6-10 to 10-25. I'll be doing 10 at the WSOP this year alone, and I already spent a week playing in the Bahamas... Heck, I might reack the 25+ mark.
