May be some hope (online gambling law)
|
Good stuff.
I was waitng for the WTO ruling and then forgot all about it. |
no poker carve out all or none says frank
|
Very interesting:
Works for me. |
270 days almost here and heres the latest
|
will this affect epassporte and other onine accounts or just bank accounts not letting u deposit straight into a gambling site
|
Frank said "I am not going to draw a distinction between poker and blackjack," said Frank.
Despite the fact that I philosophically agree with his stand, he is missing the point. The sticking point here is (and always has been) sports betting. The NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB and the NCAA are all going to fall into lockstep behind any legislation that restricts their boogeyman. |
after 270 days with no guidlines set is it null and void?
|
Sounds nice, but no... where in the world did you hear that?
|
More on this
Barney comes through!
Great quote: "Why anyone thinks it is any of my business why some adult wants to gamble is absolutely beyond me," Frank told a community bankers group conference. |
Go barney Go....
|
I'll be interested to see how this does. He should slip it in with some sort of completely unrelated must-pass bill.
That would be the nuts. |
OH CRAP:eek:
|
I cannot honestly say how the law in the US has effected us over here in the UK because my main site is pokerstars and there is no difference there.
One thing is for sure and that is that at some stage it will be overturned, am not going to go into details but some advice would be to look into gambling site now and perhaps invest in some shares. This sport is growing bigger than any forcaster ever imagined and investing $5000 (£2500) could pay some real interest in years to come deffinately more than any bank account interest. |
In this case, I hate being right. |
And out of curiosity, where exactly do you suggest investing said $5000? In Party stock???
|
NO perhaps not but 888 would have got u back the loses from party.
|
Well, you can't just say people should invest in online gaming companies but not be any more specifc than that. Obviously many will fail for every one or two that hit it big... And most of them don't go public until they are already huge. So, unless you are suggesting people open their own gaming sites (GL with that), I still want to know where the $5k is supposed to go. Should we just send it to you?

lol, am not going to respond
