So, I know you're ballin and all, but are you to the point where you can stomach a beat like this? Does this put you on tilt and does it essentially end your session, or can you deal with it and continue playing?
It really doesn't bother me. I didn't tilt at all, I rarely ever tilt anymore. Honestly I was playing out in the living room with 8 people around watching the Red Sox get destroyed, and my facial expression doesn't change, my mood doesn't change, I don't say a word and I wouldn't if I was alone either. It's poker and I'm totally used to it by now. My roomates first of all don't even know how much I make, but also have no clue if I have a +20k or -20k day and that's how I like it. If poker controlled my life outside of when I'm sitting there actually playing poker, I wouldn't play. When I'm not playing I basically never think about poker.
So What happens when they look at your screen and see you sitting on 13k? Tell them its a tournament? :D
Damn.

Poker players are good liars...

Sorry, if this is off topic. Noticed your avatar just now; is batman kissing robin? |
I sit on the far left side of the couch by the wall where the outlet is when i play so if they want to look they have to make an actual effort. Honestly I've used the SNG thing plenty of times before, and I always bring up other internet explorer windows if they're lookin for too long or anything which I would probably do anyway so it's not weird or anything. Basically they all know I make good $ at it, but most people think maybe 70k total, my good friends think it's like 200ish.
I know boobie's kidding but I'm not lieing or exaggerating any of this at all. |
I own him at yahoo pool/checkers...

Not that it matters to you, but I believe you.

Do not understand KBlatin, sorry.
it doesn't matter if this is an overstatement or the pure truth. It is a nice goal for all of us, to be able to approach poker this way.
I for one, can't play with that kind of emotional detachment. I can still tilt, I cry at silly rivers, and I curse action flops... but that's just me. :)
yeah me too, but I think JD's is a better way.
