NFL bettors.....

Whats your top game today? I am still narrowing down the card between a few, but I'll post what my final plays are long before kickoff, but I want to see where your money is going as well.

Thanks.

Houstan +7 against the Broncos.... bell is hurting at running back, after the loss of griffeth...plus, john lynch is out as is trevor price. Besides, I think Houstan is going to win the game outright.

Detroit -3 at home vs the Skins....roy williams is back, and the skins are missing linebackers arrington and barrow...plus the skins kicker, john hall, is out and that could become a major major factor

Tease of the week....Seattle down to -.5 against the 49ers, and Arizona to +9 against the Dolphins. dolphins have now lost 2 place kickers...major issues here. And even though the seattle recievers are banged up, the 49ers cant stop the run, so alexander should have a field day.

staley is out for the steelers....im gonna load up 2 units on the eagles at -1

Penguinfan 11-07-04 12:20 PM

Looks like KC, Detroit and St. Louis for me today.

Is Staley definatly out, local pre-game show still has him as questionable.

jimmytheg 11-07-04 12:51 PM

staley is definately out

Penguinfan 11-07-04 01:17 PM

Thanks, that game was a no-play to me either way, though with Staley out I can't blame you for liking Philly. Too many intangibles in that one that I just can't handicapp.

Man, my Eagles are sucking. It'd be insane to see Steelers dominate two undefeated teams in a row, and I think they might do just that. Props to them though.

Kidd7138 11-07-04 04:41 PM

Is anyone else on right now watching the NE Patriots game, there's about 5 minutes left in the first corner, the Pats secondary is further decimated, and StL hasn't shown the ability to exploit it just yet. I'm a big fan of the Pats and I haven't even heard of some of these cornerbacks they're bringing in.

Penguinfan 11-07-04 04:45 PM

I'm watching that game now, I need it to avoid a disaster on the day, not sue why St. Louis is not throwing deep more given the situation. Your Pats certainly have their share of injury problems all of the sudden.

Kidd7138 11-07-04 04:54 PM

At least Dillon is looking good so far. The team is deep enough at most positions to cover for injuries temporarily, but without Dillon our running back situation doesn't look too good.

Penguinfan 11-07-04 05:23 PM

Wish Dillon was healthy last week against Pittsburgh, I would like to see what Pittsburgh can do against a complete team, and Philly wasn't it today.

junYUN 11-07-04 07:06 PM

my exact plans

GeoffM 11-08-04 08:11 AM

Complete team or not, Pittsburgh is a VERY good team. Any team that can beat the last 2 undefeated teams in the league, injuries or not, are good. They stopped New England's massive winning streak, and then stopped an awesome Philly team. But, I will put money on them choking come playoff time.

Bill Cowher, mind you, has to be one of the best coaches of all-time. I thought this team was going to the basement in the AFC, not just their division, and look at them now, first place and not looking back.

Edited to add: Who the hell would ever bet against N.E.?
Did you see that Vinatieri TD pass yesterday? That [played looked like it was from a peewee football team's playbook, and the Rams looked like idiots there.

jimmytheg 11-08-04 10:18 AM

I had a shitty week, down 3 units. Detroit stunk up the joint, houstan didnt show up, and neither did the eagles.

My beloved pats won, but i didnt have the balls to bet on em. Shitty shitty week....worst so far this year. up 11.5 units now on the year. Im teasin indy down to -1 with the over at 52 tonight.....the regular over/under is 58 in that game, i can not remember a number so high in a long long time

Penguinfan 11-08-04 01:21 PM

You definatly got value in that O/U line, I see it at 60.5 in alot of places already.

GeoffM 11-08-04 01:38 PM

I think his O/U of 52 is based on a parlay, since the Colts are also favoured by 7.

If Moss wasn't hurt, I'd jump all over those numbers. However with Moss not playing tonight, you won't get as many points out of the Vikings. I'd probably pick Indy -7 or -1 and the under.

(Of course if Moss was playing, the spread would be lower so in essence you'd simply be picking the Colts to win)

jimmytheg 11-08-04 06:45 PM

yeah it's a tease, you pick two bets and move the line 6 in either direction....thats why i got the colts at -1 and the over at 52

jimmytheg 11-09-04 07:44 AM

well, luckily that fourth quarter was full of action and the teaser hit.....somewhat salvaging a pretty shitty week.... i was sweating when it was only 14-14 late in the third, but it worked out. This was one of those games where you could have teased either team, with either the over or the under, and won.
