It looked to me like there was enough evidence that they would have been able to show that a binding oral agreement was entered into... that being the case if Gold settled it for around $4M he did pretty good.

I love how the story says, "the two did not make clear how much money Leyser would receive," but the photo cutline says, "before the courts could get involved, Jamie Gold chose to go 50-50 on the grand prize."

Now where, pray tell, did the caption writer get that information that seemingly none of us know?"
