Why'd you bet the turn?

JDMcNugent7 07-29-08 08:41 PM

I've been doing this alot more lately after I 3b pf and check the flop. It gets way more folds than I ever thought it would.
Also building the pot a bit with the nut FD can't be too bad a thing, but really I thought he'd just fold.

When I made that turn call tho I was really convinced he had nothing and was planning to call most rivers even if I missed.

Do you not like the turn bet b/c of the bad spot it put us in after he raised? What u think of it?

I'd just try to check and down and induce bluffs after checking flop, but I guess you got that by betting which I don't think happens more often than checking. I suppose against him though it might be better to bet turn/bet river since he seems loose enough that he would have a bunch of random K2s, q3s if he is calling with k7s preflop.

But yeah calling down is definitely well played after that since he is repping like 33 or 45 (and 45 bets the flop a large % of the time). nh
