thats brutal.

how can this guy be so dumb? the competition is really that bad in these $200 HUs?

Zybomb 03-21-08 04:26 PM

the play isnt as bad as it seems especially if its been an aggro match. This is actually a very good flop for 22 and TP could easily be bluff raising with over cards, a diamond draw etc

Talking Poker 03-21-08 06:28 PM

Agreed that it's not as bad as it looks. although this hadn't been a particularly aggro match to this point. It's just annoying when I trap him SO obviously (which is exactly what I knew would work against him - I wouldn't min check raise this against just anyone), he falls in face first, and sure enough is rewarded.

Individual match HU variance is a very, very sick thing. Remember, each of these beats equaly 2 buy ins (win $0 instead of $400). I've gotten a lot better at thinking about these in terms of the long(er) run though. They are supposed to happen some fraction of the time, so when they do, I'm trying to think, "Oh good - got that one out of the way."

Easier said than done.
