Prima 100K freeroll my ass

I tried to register for one of the sat's for the prima 100K FR tourney. they are not letting me register. when I clicked around it says that I need 2500 raked hands between Aug. and now, or 1000 in any one month. WTF. I guess we all should have read the fine, fine print. Opening an acct. on RV was a big waste I guess. Anyway around this??

a catch

therEs always a catch.
I'm not a fan of prima.

Windbreaker 12-16-04 01:06 PM

Don't they send you an email out saying what date you're suppose to register and all? They said I qualified, but I already uninstalled that stuff. I just hate the prima network.

drewjax 12-16-04 05:15 PM

Everything I read simply said open a new account between August (14th I think), and sometime in December. There was all kinds of stuff on this and other forums about it. Seemed like a no brainer. they advertised it all over the place, as the biggest freeroll ever, blah blah blah. but when I went to register, it wouldnt let me. There they finally had a link to the specific tournament details. It laid out all of the raked hand requirements. Bogus. Oh well. I turned $10 into $400 and cashed out on 7 Sultans, and I guess I'm done for good on Prima.

I don't know, they sent me the email below. To me this tourney really isn't a freeroll since there's rebuys involved. All I want is to pull out my hundred something dollars out of lukcy nugget with those bastards asking for a copy of my drivers license as if they really need it.

Congratulations on qualifying for the World's Largest Poker Tournament, the $100,000 freeroll.

Due to the overwhelming response to the tournament, we have changed the tournament format to enhance your player experience.

Instead of a long, gruelling tournament on December 18th, we've created five tournament Groups. The top 10% from each group will go through to the final event on Thursday, December 23rd, at 9pm EST.

What exactly does this mean for you?

You have been randomly selected into GROUP D, playing on Sunday, December 19th, at 9pm EST.
1 in 10 players from this Group will go through to the final event on Thursday, December 23rd, at 9pm EST.

Registration for your Group is open -- so be sure to get your seat early!

See you there!

Ok maybe I got something like this but didnt see it. I'll check it out (I have several different emails, so I'll have to search a bit).
Thanks.

Thanks again to Windbreaker. Finally got it figured out. They did send an email a few days ago, but it went directly to my spam/bulk folder. Anyway, they put me in the C sat. which is Saturday night. Can't play then as it is my weekly NL game. So they were able to move me to the one on Monday (E). It will be during MNF when my Pats will be kicking ass, but I have to give it a shot.

drewjax 12-18-04 03:18 AM

Nope, I spoke too soon. I was told that I was able to be moved to Sat. E on Monday; that I could register for it today. Of course, when I try to register for it, it wont let me. Spoke to support again, and I was told that a request was put in to move me, but it was denied. Buzzkill. Ok its official; PRIMA SUCKS.!!!!

Skipped the Saturday home tourney for a different smaller one 2nite, and did play in the Prima 100K freeroll sat., and snuck into the top 10% (after all my bitching out Prima).
Anyone else, and if so have you tried to register for the main event on the 23rd? It says registration is open but there are 0 players registered, and it would not let me register.

TajaUk 12-20-04 04:02 AM

Wont let me reg either :(

drewjax 12-20-04 05:10 AM

Am I going to have flip flop on Prima for a 4th time, or are they going to let us reg and play? And what do you think about them changing the format (not that big a deal, I actually like it better than 1 massive tourney), but more importantly holding it WHEN they are?? Its a freeroll, so wtf right.
Good point on the rebuys.
