Ok, well I think registration should be starting in a couple of weeks, so lets get this out there and see who is interested.

I will be setting up a 5x5 for the board. I want to cap entrants at 10 and hopefully we can draw that many. I will ask for you to send me a PM so as to not have an unknown in our league.

Categories as follows:
AVG, HR, RBI, R, SB for hitters.
W, SV, K, ERA and WHIP for pitchers.

Rotisserie league of course.

Rosters will include:
C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util.
SP, SP, SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, RP, RP
5 BN spots with 2 IR spots as well.

If you guys prefer 2 Util spots let me know.

Yes, good idea. I actually want this to mirror my pool from last year, and yes, that is how it was.

Nah, that would skew the pool and make hitting more valuable than pitching by 1 category. Lets keep it a 5x5.

Replace AVG with OBP and I'm in. Otherwise, nah.

What's with obsession of OBP guys?

Let me see if there is another pitching category I overlooked. I can't think of having a league without AVG.

AVG is not a really good statistic for hitters. It basically rewards players for being impatient at the plate. OBP is a much better stat to figure out who is a better hitter.

I agree with Geoff... I cant see having a fantasy baseball league without average.

I think the categories are fine for a 5x5 league. However, I think OBP would be the sixth category I would add if the format allowed for it.

Let's see if Yahoo will allow another category that makes sense for pitchers. I'm reluctant to add BBs as that would skew the numbers if somebody doesn't ever use their starters, as they'll lead that stat in that case.

I don't think there should be the same amount of categories for pitching and hitting. Fantasy sports is for offense.

I disagree. Then you would be valuing more than 5 or 6 hitters than Johan Santana, and to be honest, if I was starting a team tomorrow, he'd be the first (woops, sorry, second to Pujols) guy I'd start it with.

Good, we have 6 thus far and still some time before signups begin.

Got about a month still. I just wanted early commitments so we wouldn't scramble to find players.

What the hell is Yahoo doing now? I thought we were conducting a live draft on our own time, not on Yahoo's, so how can they dictate that only weekdays are left? I've never had this issue before.

Anyhow, I can do a weekday, but I'll need to know in advance when it will be. Mondays, Tuesdays or Fridays are best for me.

The live draft is held on Yahoo!. Yahoo! only allows a certain number of drafts per slot. All weekend slots are gone.

Let me check tomorrow.

I'm here, yo. The worst part about it is having the guy you want autodrafted in front of you. I think for the people who didn't show, we should have done a reverse draft.

Im moving house in a week and a bit, and i cut my net off early (apparently i said the 1st of march, when i said the 14th) but BT can blow me anyway.

I dont know when ill have it back.
