Tigers > cards. bye bye $500

I like the Mets outright, but I also think Oakland will take the AL.

Take a warm insulated rain coat.
Also, I hate you.
shit, why did i just find myself betting 2 units on the Mets tonight at -1.5.
Lets go Glavine! (no offence JD) |
Sweet! Have fun JD.
There are many reasons why people hate me but to humor me what is your reason here?
Not you, that was meant to be aimed at JD. I quoted the wrong post.
Figured that, but I seem to do things that agitate others, so I was just makin sure.
OK then, I hate you.
your an asshole
You're bad at grammar.
^^ You're both right.
well that sure didnt happen.
shits on. I really hope I can find a way to get to a WS game. |
I have one word for you, bud: $$$$$$$$$$$.
If you DON'T get to a WS game, I will be seriously disappointed in you. |
I was thinking the same thing but then again what makes the games so fun is the ppl ur there with. My friends arent willin to pay that much, and I can't buy tickets for every1, and picking and choosing which friend to bring would only cause more trouble than good.
Girlfriend not like baseball?
Exactly. Take her, or pick your best one or two friends... The others will understand, but if you are worried about it, say that your Dad got you the tickets or something. Obviously you can't take everyone.
ya im looking on ebay. god i want to go. it will work out well anyway, most tickets just come in groups of 2.
hopefull ill be going. might be takin the GF or possibly a guy friend if they are willing to pay. |
You should host some sort of contest/freeroll or something. Play a sng for it, or make up some sort of silly and semi-humiliating contest amoung your friends to see who goes with you (and make them pay for beer/pizza/ parking etc.)
Just a thought. I picked names out of a hat to see who would come with me to a NJ Generals game to see my boy Flutie play, about a million years ago. The guy (kid) who came was a friend obviously, but really became one of my best friends in the years to come. Have fun with it, if you do decide to treat someone to something amazing like this, you will remember it for a lifetime. I will never forget my trip to game 3 of the '86 World Series, even if the game, or the series didnt turn out the way I wanted it to. Damn you for reminding me Dodoubled.............lol |
1993, Phillies vs. Blue Jays. I was at Game 4 at the Vet - the one that ended up being the highest scoring game in World Series history (15-14), thanks to "Wild Thing" Mitch Williams completely blowing it for the Phils in the 8th.
The tv room in my dorm was packed (or so I heard), watching the game on the big screen. Every time John Kruk would step up to the plate, everyone would quiet down until they heard my blow my airhorn - my signal saying hello to everyone. Then they would go nuts. Of course, stupid Kruk ended up going 0 for 5. Maybe I should have picked someone else for my signal - like good ol juiced up Lenny Dykstra, who had 2 homers, a double and even stole a base. Despite the Phils losing, it was still an awesome game, and one that I will remember forever. |
I was at the NLCS Game 6 that year, also at the Vet ... the one where the Fightin's clinched the pennant. It's the one and only postseason game in any sport that I've ever attended. I hope I can go again one day ...
Dude, haven't you ever seen the interview he did a few years later about that game? He said that some airhorn kept blowing right before his atbats and it used to throw him out of sync. It's, appearently, one thing he can't deal with when he's getting ready to step in against a pitcher.
That's crazy that it was actually you. [Totally kidding] |
haha...
I was also at one of the NLCS games that year... I think it was Game 1, but I don't remember. What I do remember was Shilling striking out the first 5 batters to start the game. THAT was something. |
Fuck.
Reyes pitched a monster. Tigers still 4-2 IMO tho
yayayayaya!
wut a crazy game! |
might as well pay JD his money now...
